Staff Sergeant Dominick Farrar
Staff Sergeant Dominick Farrar 42114197 was born on March 3, 1911, in Syracuse, New York. He was the son of, James and, Antoinette Farrar. He was also the brother John J. Farrar 32586866 and Samuel J Farrar 12025583. Before the war Dominick was married Yolanda L. Farrar, and they had one child. On April 26, 1937 he married Mary Farrar in Syracuse New York, they had one child. He entered the US Army on April 5, 1944 at the age of 33, at Fort Dix New Jersey. He served in 1229th SCSU at Fort Dix New Jersey, He served in the European theater of operations with F Company, 253rd Infantry Regiment 63rd Infantry Division. He took part in the Battle of Buchhof. He also Served in the 100th Infantry Division and the 78th Infantry division. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medals BSM, The Combat Infantry Badge, the American Theater of operations Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations Medal, World War Two Victory Medal. He died on January 28, 1975 in his hometown at the age of 63.
