T/5 Sol Wexler 32312888 US Army He was born on January 23, 1918 Manhattan, New York City New York. He was the son of Joseph Wexler. He married Lillian Scolnick on September 14, 1942 in the Bronx, New York City. He entered the US Army on April 10, 1942 at Fort Jay Governors Island New York at the age of 24. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 8 inches tall weighed 156 pounds had Brown eyes and Black hair. He served in Combat with G Company, 254th Infantry regiment, 63rd Infantry Division. On August 24, 1945 he transferred to 282 Signal Pigeon Company. He was Awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, The American Theater of operations, the European Theater of Operations Medal ETO, the World War Two Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal.
