Sgt Robert Claude  Welty, Jr. 33831273 US Army. He was born on November 14, 1913, in Pennsylvania, the son of Robert C. Welty Sr., and Jane R. Troxell Welty.  He graduated from William Allen High School in 1931. He married Katharine L. Derr on November 12, 1939 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He entered the US Army on September 4, 1943 at the age of 29. He went overseas on November 24, 1944, and served overseas with the 36th Infantry division. He also served in combat with I Company, 254th Infantry 63rd Division. He returned to the United States on January 18, 1946 and was discharged on January 22, 1946. He died on  Aug 20 1989 at the age of 75 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medals BSM, The Combat Infantry Badge,  the American Theater of operations Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.

He went overseas on November 24, 1944, and served overseas with the 36th Infantry division. He also served in combat with I Company, 254th Infantry 63rd Division. He returned to the United States on January 18, 1946 and was discharged on January 22, 1946. He died on  Aug 20 1989 at the age of 75 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
