Staff Sgt Robert Treat Stein 42008868 US Army. He was born on February 17, 1916, the son of Frederick Stein and Frances Dehart Stein. He entered the US Army on August 10, 1943 at Newark New Jersey, at the age of 27. At the time of his enlistment he was 6 foot 3 inches tall weighed 209 pounds had blue eyes and brown hair. He trained at Fort Dix New Jersey. He entered Headquarters Battery, 863rd Field Artillery battalion, 63rd Infantry Division on September 12, 1943 at Camp Van Dorn Mississippi. He served with this unit in the European theater, for 119 days of combat. He was transferred out of  the 63rd division on July 7, 1945. He served in the XXIII Corps before being discharged. He was awarded the , the Good Conduct MedalThe American Theater of operations Medalthe European Theater of Operations Medal ETO with 2 battle star, the World War Two Victory Medal. He died on October 10, 1993 in Wayne Township New Jersey.
