Sergeant THOMAS M. SPENCER, U, S. Army. Born around 1923. Entered service 1942, at the age of 19. He served at, Camp Crowder, Missouri; Atlantic City, New Jersey. Brother of Private first class, BUD W. PAYNE and Lieutenant JG, TEDDY R. PAYNE. Foster son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Payne, of Box 89′, Martin, Kentucky.
