Corporal RAY C. RIGDON

Corporal RAY C. RIGDON, US Army Air Corps. He is the husband of Lula Metcalf Rigdon, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Willie M. Rigdon, Haynesville. He was born March 13, 1924, and attended Haynesville High School. On July 29, 1942, he entered the Army Air Forces in Shreveport at the age of 18. He went to Eglin Field, Florida, on duty as a non-commissioned officer. He was transferred to Camp Pinedale, Fresno, California, and Hamilton Field, California. He received his discharge at SAD Army Air Forces Distribution Command on January 17, 1946. He is also the brother of Sergeant ALVIN RIGDON, KIA, Gunner’s Mate Third Class RAYMOND CECIL WILSON, and Sergeant WILLIE ODELLE RIGDON.
