Sergeant, FRANCIS TEER PRESLAR 38184399 U. S. Army. Brother of Supply Sergeant ROBERT BENTON PRESLAR. Husband of Betllel Bates Preslar, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Preslar. He was born April 7, 1914, and attended Elm Grove and Byrd High Schools and was an employee of the post-office at Shreveport Louisiana. On July 1, 1942, he entered the Army at the age of 28. He trained at Camp Robinson, Arkansas, and Camp Beauregard, then went to Fort Ord, California, for special Military Police training. He was assigned to duty (MP) at the Presidio of San Francisco. On May 14, 1943, he embarked for Australia and served in Brisbane June 14, 1943, to August, 1945, as post-office clerk, 799th Military Police Battalion. He served in the Philippines from November 1, 1945, to December 7, 1945, as non-commissioned officer in charge of all mail for the 102nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery. He has the Good Conduct Medal, Expert Pistol and Bayonet Badges, Victory Ribbon, American Theater, Asiatic Pacific Theater, and Philippine Liberation Ribbons.
