Warrant Officer HARRY ANTHONY PECK
Warrant Officer HARRY ANTHONY PECK, US Army. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Roland Peck, of 201 Albany Avenue, Shreveport. He attended Sacred Heart, Byrd High, St. John’s High, Shreveport, and the University of Texas at Austin UT. Entering the Army in January, 1941, at Shreveport Louisiana. He went to Camp Hulen, Texas, and San Diego, California, (battery supply sergeant), and to Camp Stewart, Georgia, William Northern Field, Tennessee, and Camp Forrest, Tennessee, as battalion personnel officer. On June 15, 1944, he embarked for British New Guinea where he served in Finschhafen as battalion personnel officer, going to Leyte and Luzon in the Philippines as battalion personnel officer. Warrant Officer Peck was in combat in the Campaigns of New Guinea, the Southern Philippines, and Luzon, and has the Asiatic Pacific Theater (PTO) Ribbon with three bronze campaigns stars. The Philippine Liberation Ribbon, the American Defense Service Medal, the American Theater of Operations Ribbon, and the Victory Medal, receiving his honorable release from active duty February 11, 1946, at Camp Fannin, Texas. He is also the brother of Chief Warrant Officer CHARLES ROLAND PECK, EDWARD MELVILLE PECK, Sergeant JOHN HOWARD PECK, and ROBERT M. PECK.
