Chief Warrant Officer CHARLES ROLAND PECK,
Chief Warrant Officer CHARLES ROLAND PECK, US Army. He is the husband of Mrs. Jean A. Peck, of 6113 South Albany, Chicago, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Roland Peck, 201 Albany Avenue, Shreveport Louisiana. After attending Sacred Heart and St. John’s Schools, Shreveport, and Loyola University, New Orleans, he was with Rotary Lift Company, Memphis, Caddo Abstract Company and Arkansas Fuel Oil Company, Shreveport, prior to entering the Army January 6, 1941. Chief Warrant Officer Peck served at Camp Hulen, Texas, San Diego and Pasadena, California, Atlanta, Georgia, Chicago, Illinois., and Lebanon, Tennessee, in the Anti-Aircraft Section, III Army, G-3 and Adjutant General’s Office, XI Army Corps. He went to Fort Riley, Kansas, as Ordnance Administrative Officer, XI Corps, taking part in the Tennessee Maneuvers as assistant Corps Ammunition Officer. As Corps Ordnance Operations Officer he embarked March 16, 1944, for Australia and served in that capacity in New Guinea, Morotai, N. E. 1., Leyte and Luzon in the Philippines, serving also us Ordnance Supply Officer XI Corps on Luzon and in that capacity in Yokohama and Tokyo, Japan. He has the American Defense Service Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Theater (PTO) Ribbon with bronze stars for the New Guinea, Netherlands East Indies (CBI), and Philippines Campaigns, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, and Occupation of Japan Ribbon. He is also the brother of EDWARD MELVILLE PECK Warrant Officer HARRY ANTHONY PECK, Sergeant JOHN HOWARD PECK, and ROBERT M. PECK.
