At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 10 inches tall weighed 167 pounds had brown eyes and brown hair. He entered L Company, 255th Infantry regiment, on July 10, 1944, at Camp Van Dorn. He served in 1st Platoon Company L, 255th Infantry regiment, 63rd Infantry Division in training and his entire time in Combat. On April 18, 1945 he was sent to the 363rd Medical Battalion (most likely for a Non battle casualty such as trench foot.) He was transferred to M company, 255th Infantry regiment on Aug 15 1945. He was discharged on May 17, 1946. He was awarded the Bronze Stare Medal, The American Theater of operations Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations Medal with two battle stars. the World War Two Victory Medal, the Army of Occupation Medal, and the Combat Infantry Badge.
