Sergeant Peter Mclachlan Finnie 36329811 US Army. He was born on April 6, 1912, the son of Johnstone Finnie and Annie Mclachlan Finnie  of Chicago Illinois. He enlisted on April 9, 1942, at the age of 30. He served in combat with Company F253rdInfantry Regiment63rdInfantry Division. On his 33rd birthday he was taking part in the worst fighting that his company would do during the entire war, in the town of Buchhof Germany. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Stare Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, The American Theater of operationsthe European Theater of Operations Medal ETO with 2 battle star, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He was discharged on November 21, 1945. He died on October 10, 1982, at the age of 70.
