T/4 Rubin D. Farmer, US Army. He was the son of Mrs. Rilla Farmer, he was the brother of Std. 1/ c Hilton Farmer, Rubin attended New Mountain School. He entered the Army in 1943, he trained at Muskogee, Okla., Camp Hood, Texas and Camp Crowder Mo. He served in the European Theater. He was awarded the ETO Medal with 4 Battle Stars and the GC Medal. He was discharged in 1945.
