Sgt Charles L. Daniel, Jr.
Sgt Charles L. Daniel, Jr.,38536557 US Army. He was born in Decatur, Texas, on August 30, 1925 son of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Daniel, Sr., of Little Elm. He was the brother of S K 3 / c Gladys M. Daniels, He received education in Little Elm Texas and Frisco Texas. He entered the service November 8, 1943, at the age of 18. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 7 inches tall weighed 131 Pounds had Blue eyes and Brown hair. He entered I Company, on June 19, 1944, at Camp Van Dorn. He went overseas in December 1944 with I Company, 255th Infantry regiment, 63rd Division, 7th Army, He earned the Bronze Star Medal for Valor. He was sent to the 363rd Medical on April 14 and returned to his company on April 27. On August 24, 1945 he was transferred to the 399th Infantry Regiment, 100th Division. He was awarded the Bronze Stare Medal with V and two Oak leaf cluster, The American Theater of operations Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations Medal with two battle stars, the World War Two Victory Medal,
