Sergeant Almo A. Cecchini 31199604, US Army. He was born on May 12, 1914, the son of Angelo L. Cecchini and Orsolina (Frontini) Cecchini of Montpelier Vermont. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1934. He marred Laura Hebert at St. Augustine Catholic Church on January 31, 1942. He entered the US Army on October 26, 1942, at the age of 27. He served as the Chief payroll section in Hq Platoon, Company F, 254th Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division. He fought in the the Battle of the Bulge. He was honorable discharge on November 12, 1945. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Stare Medal (BSM), the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Operations Medal, European Theater of Operations Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He died on November 27, 2008, at the age of 94.
