Private EDGAR REW KELLEY 38388456 KIA, U. S. Army. Brother of Private First Class Bose FRANK KELLEY JR. KIA Lieutenant WILLIAM GEORGE KELLEY KIA, Sergeant JACK R. KELLEY. Husband of Evelyn Byrnes Kelley and son of Mr. and Mrs. Bose Frank Kelley, 2920 Hardy Street. He was born September 17, 1915, and attended Queensborough Grammar School in Shreveport Louisiana and Fair Park High School, and was with Atlantic and Pacific Food Stores prior to entering the Army in the Infantry on February 12, 1943, at Camp Livingston at the age of 27. He served in the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment 101st Airborne Division. Private Kelley served at Camp McCain, Mississippi. He died of spinal meningitis on March 24, 1943, at the age of 27 shortly after his induction into military service.
