Y 2/c Alyce Faye Edwards US Navy. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Griffin, of Austin, and wife of Cpl. James W. Edwards, and sister in law of Cpl. Alfred I. Edwards, SC 1 /c Ford Odell Edwards. Alyce attended Austin High School. She entered the WAVES in 1942, trained at San Diego, Cal. Served in California. She was discharged in 1945. She was awarded the World War Two Victory Medal and American Theater Ribbon.
