Edwards and brother in law of Y 2/c Alyce Faye Edwards, Wave. Ford attended Georgetown High School. He entered the US Navy in 1942, trained at San Diego, Cal. Served in Panama, Pacific Islands. Awarded American Theater Medal  Asiatic-Pacific with 5 Stars, Navy and Atlantic Campaign Bars. He was discharged, in 1945
