Sarah Virginia (Sallie) Rawson Milliorn A-802459 UA Army WAAC. She was born on October 3, 1898, in Navarro, Texas the daughter of Robert and Martha Rawson. She married William Van Milliorn on September 5, 1915, they had five children one son Durwad Milliorn KIA four daughters and a granddaughter who live here at 114 East Tuckeras of 1943. Sheis also the Mother in law of Joe B Shannon, and Jack Vanderzyl. On December 12, 1942, at the age of 44 she joined the WAAC after hearing that her son, Durwad Milliorn, was reported missing in action. She was stationed in San Francisco and served overseas in European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations. She was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations Medal, American Campaign medal, the World War Two Victory Medal, and the Women’s Army Corps Service Medal. She died on July 4, 1984, in Blooming Grove, Texas, at the age of 85.
