692nd Tank Destroyer

692nd Tank Destroyer was attached to the 12th Armored Division, 14th Armored Division, 29th Armored Division, 42nd Infantry Division, 63rd Infantry Divisionand 104th Infantry Division. It served 195 days of combat in the European African Middle Eastern Theater; during this time they served in the campaigns of, RHINELANDARDENNES-ALSACE, and CENTRAL EUROPE. The 629th Tank Destroyer was awarded 21 Silver stars, 265 Bronze stars, 131 Purple hearts, 2 Soldiers medals 10 Combat medical badges 96 Certificates of merit.
