Major DAVID C. SWEARINGEN
Major DAVID C. SWEARINGEN, U. S. Army. Husband of Frances Alvern Walker Swearingen, 525 Olive Street, Shreveport, and father of David C. Swearingen, Jr. Born December 4, 1908, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Swearingen, of Shreveport. He is also the brother of Captain JAMES PAUL SWEARINGEN. He attended Centenary College, Shreveport; Tulane University, New Orleans; and received his degree of Doctor of Medicine from the Tulane University School of Medicine. Inducted November 1, 1940, at Camp Shelby, at the age of 31. He was assigned to the United States Army Medical Corps and was stationed at Camp Shelby as chief of the Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat section, Station Hospital. His only other assignment has been as chief of the Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat section, Station Hospital, at Fort Hayes in Ohio.
