Private EDWARD E. SEDLACEK 37737491 US Army KIA. He was born in 1919, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sedlacek, of Clarkson, Nebraska. He was marred to Viola L. Sedlacek, and they had a son Dennis Dean Sedlacek. He entered the US Army in the branch of Infantry on March 20, 1944, around the age of 24. He trained at Camp Roberts, California; April to September 1944. He served in the European Theater of Operations, with the 334th Infantry Regiment, 84th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action in Germany, on December 19, 1944, at the age of 25. His remains were returned to the United States in 1948. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal (PHM), The Combat Infantry Badge CIB, the European Theater of Operations Medal, the American Theater of Operations Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.
