Capt. JAMES L. RIMLINGER 

Capt. JAMES L. RIMLINGER US Army. He served in Company C, 398th Infantry Regiment, 100th Infantry Division, in training and in combat. He earned 2 Bronze Star Medals with Company C. On April 7, Company C, was commanded by Capt. Rimlinger, began an attack against the foe a short distance upstream from Untergriesheim. Both C Company and B Company moved out without the usual artillery preparation and immediately met fierce resistance. By the end of the day they had seized Hill 233 and dug in there. During this action Pfc. Mike Colallilo of C Company earned the Medal of Honor.
