Sergeant GLEN T. PRICE 38225626, US Army. He is the husband of Audrey Waits Price of Georgetown, and father of Audrey Glyn Price. He was born February 17, 1912, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer A. Price of Georgetown. He attended Georgetown and Selma High Schools and was with American Railway Express Company and the Post Office Department prior to entering the Coast Artillery September 30, 1942, in Shreveport, at the age of 30. From Camp Beauregard he went to Camp Hulen, Texas, for basic artillery training and to Camp Cooke, California, for advanced training. On November 24, 1943, he embarked for Milne Bay, New Guinea, and served also at Finschhafen and Aitape, where he staged for the initial assault landing at Maffin Bay, and on Wake Island. Sergeant Price fought with the 202nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion as communications chief in New Guinea. He fought in the same capacity at Leyte, Philippine Islands, in the assault landing on Mindoro, P. I., and at Zamboanga, Mindanao, P. I. He has the Asiatic Pacific Theater (PTO) Ribbon with bronze campaign stars for New Guinea and the Southern Philippines, and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with campaign star. He also has the Bronze Arrowhead for assault invasion over the beaches, the American Theater Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Victory Medal.
