T Sergeant Norman W. Parker 18030522, Air Corps He was born in 1919, the son of Sally C. Parker and Wiley T Parker of Rt 3 Redland  / Lufkin Texas . He was also the brother of, T/5 Milton R. Parker 3833738 (KIA), Private Lenard Joe Parker, and Sergeant Ray Parker. Norman is also the husband of Ruby L. Handley, he graduate of Redland High School. He entered Army Air Corps on August 7, 1940, at the age of 21. He trained at Rapid City, South Dakota  and McDill Field, Florida.  He served in Alaska and the Mediterranean. Awarded Bronze Star Medal (BSM), Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Medal., ETO, medal with 9 Battle Stars and PTO Medal with 2 Battle Stars, american campaign medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He was discharged in 1945.
