Sgt. Henry B Mullins 38631910
Sgt. Henry Bert Mullins 38631910 US Army WIA. He was born on May 23, 1919 in Birdville Texas present day Haltom City Texas. He was the son of Andrew Anderson “Bert” Mullins and Hattie Myrtle Teague Mullins, they lived at 2019 Columbus Ave. Fort Worth Texas. He entered the US Army on July 21, 1944 in Dallas Texas. He was shipped overseas on January 10, 1945 arriving January 19, 1945 in the Philippines. He served in Company L, 381st Infantry Regiment, 96th Infantry Division. He was wounded in Action on April 19, 1945 on Okinawa. He left the Philippines on December 5, 1945 arriving in the United States on December 23, 1945. He was discharged on January 1, 1946 at Fort Sam Houston Texas at the time of his discharge he was 5 foot 5 inches tall weighed 139 pounds had black hair and Brown eyes. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal (PHM), The Bronze Star Medal (BSM), The Combat Infantry Badge (CIB), The American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal (PTO), The Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal and the World War Two Victory Medal. He had one son and two daughters with Virginia Edith Welch Mullins. He died on August 1, 1990, in North Richland Hills, Texas, at the age of 71.
