KING, FELIX WW1 – Upshur County Texas – African American part of the book

Pfc. Felix King

Pfc. Felix King, US Army WW1. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie King,  of Gilmer, Texas. He was the husband of Otha Davis, the father of STM 1/ c Miles Davis King, and Cpl. Therman King. Felix attended Valley View High School. He entered the US Army in 1918, trained at Camp Travis and Camp McArthur. He served in France. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He was discharged in 1919.
