Seaman 1st Class Louis Kacsandy Jr 6142861 US Navy KIA / MIA. He was born in 1921 the son of Louis and Elsie of Cleveland Ohio, and brother of Ella Kacsandy (WAC). He married Viola Rose Elek on December 14, 1942, in Maine. He was serving on the USS Maddox DD622 from January 1943 until his death on July 10, 1943, when the USS Maddox DD622 was sunk. He was listed Missing in Action, and died around the age of 22. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal (PHM), the European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations, the American Campaign medal, the World War Two Victory Medal
