Private Edwin Dee Grauke 38634074 KIA, US Army. He was born on April 25, 1926, in Rowena, Texas. He was the son of Hugo Grauke and Alice Grauke of Dublin Texas. He had seven brothers and three sisters. Edwin was the husband of the former Jo Elliott of Dublin Texas; He attended High School at Dublin. He entered the US Army on Aug. 29, 1944; at the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 11 inches 1/2 tall weighed 157 Pound had Gray eyes and Brown hair. He trained at Camp Fannin, Texas, and served in Germany. He served in Company L, 319th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division. Edwin was fought as a private in Battle of the Bulge until March 15, 1945. He was killed in action on March 15, 1945, at the age of 18 in Britten Germany. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, The American Theater of operations Medal, the European Theater of Operations Medal ETO, the World War Two Victory Medal, and the Marksman Medal. He was buried in Luxembourg.
