PFC Marshall W. Feinglas KIA

Private First Class Marshall W. Feinglas 33796209 US Army KIA. He was born on June 12, 1925. He was the son of Benjamin Feinglas and Bessie Rosenthal Feinglas. He entered the US Army on August 24, 1943 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, at the age of 18. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 9 inches tall weighed 150 pounds he had black hair and brown eyes. He arrived at Camp Van Dorn Mississippi on September 20, 1943. He served in B Company 255th Infantry 63rd Infantry Division. On February 7, 1944 he and 39 other men from B Company were transferred to the 83rd Infantry Division to Camp Breckinridge Ky. He was later transferred to Company L, 331st Infantry Regiment 81st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 4, 1944. His body was returned to the United States in 1948 and he was interned at Har Jehudah Cemetery in Llanerch Pa. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal (PHM)The Bronze Star Medal (BSM)The Combat Infantry Badge (CIB)The American Campaign Medalthe Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal (PTO)The Good Conduct Medal, and the World War Two Victory Medal.
