He lived in Lea County New Mexico. He entered the US Army on September 28, 1942 at Fort bliss Texas. He served overseas from Dec. 9, 1943 to Nov 21, 1945. He fought in the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe Campaigns as a Mechanic. He was discharged on Feb 18, 1946 at the time of his discharge he had Brown eyes and Black hair he was 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighed 187 pounds. He was awarded The American Theater of operations Medal, The European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations Medal with 4 battle stars. the World War Two Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal.
