Sgt. George W. Davis, US Army Air Force. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Esau Davis, of Gilmer, Texas. He attended Valley View High. He entered the US Army Air Corps in 1943, trained at Camp Wolters, Texas, Keesler Field, Miss., Drew Field, Fla. Served in Saipan, Okinawa and the Marianas (PTO).
