STM 1/c Dave Davis US Navy. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Davis,of Taylor Texas. He attended Blackshear High School. He entered the Navy, in 1943, and trained at Norfolk, Va. He served in the Atlantic, Hawaii, Philippines, Saipan, Guam, Eniwetok, Africa, Sicily, New Guinea, Kwajalein, on the USS Niobrara and USS Broadwater. He was awarded The American Campaign Medal, the European Theater of Operations Medal ETO, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal (PTO), and the World War Two Victory Medal.
