Master Sgt. James Cobbins,

Master Sgt. James Cobbins, US Army. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Cobbins,  of Gilmer, Texas. He was the husband of Agnes Juanita Malone, Cobbins, and he attended Friendship School. He entered the Army in 1941, trained at Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., Boulder City, Nev., Camp Pope, La., and the California Deserts. He served in Banika, Russells, Munda, New Georgia, Hollandia, New Guinea, Morotai, Moluccas. Awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal and 3 Battle Stars on the PTO Ribbon, he re-enlisted after the war.
