S1c Elzia T. Charles

S1c Elzia T. Charles, US Navy. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Charles, of Prescott, Ark., attended Upchurch Training School. He entering the US Navy in December 1943. Trained at Bainbridge, Md., He later serving in the Philippines and Okinawa. As of 1946 he was on duty in Japan. He was awarded The American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal (PTO), and the World War Two Victory Medal.
