Cox. James Stiles Byrom, Jr.

Cox. James Stiles Byrom, Jr. US Navy. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stiles Byrom, and the brother of Y 2/c Julia Katherine Byrom Spars of Georgetown. James graduated from Georgetown High School. He entered the Navy in 1944, and trained at San Diego. He served in the Invasions of Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and occupation of Japan and Aleutians. He was awarded the American Campaign medal, the PTO Ribbon with 3 Battle Stars and the World War Two Victory Medal. He was  discharged in 1946..
