S 2/ c Roy Brown

S 2/ c Roy Brown, son of Mrs. Ruthie J. Brown, Gilmer, husband of Ella D. Carter, he was the brother of Pfc. Coy R. Brown, and S 2/ c Horace Brown. Roy attended New Mt. Entered Navy in 1943, trained at Great Lakes, Ill. Served in Philippines and Okinawa. Awarded A-P Ribbon with 2 Battle Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Battle Star. Discharged in 1945.
