T/4 Shelby Blackman,

T/4 Shelby Blackman, US Army. He was the son of Mr, and Mrs. A. C. Blackman, of Jarrell Texas. He was also the brother of Pvt. Ethel N. Blackman, Pfc. Ollie Blackman, Pvt. Dewey C. Blackman. Shelby attended Jarrell High School. He entered the US Army in 1941, trained at Ft. Knox, Ky. Served in Africa. Awarded Good Conduct Medal, ETO Medal with 1 Battle Star and the World War Two Victory Medal. He was discharged in 1945.
