2nd Lieutenant Aldo N. Allegretti O1322300
2nd Lieutenant Aldo N. Allegretti, O-1322300 US Army KIA. He was born on December 17, 1921, in Illinois the son of Aldo John Joseph Allegretti and Mary E. Belford Allegretti. He attended York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. He marred Mary Rita Myers on October 27, 1942 in Chicago Illinois.
He served at Camp Van Dorn Mississippi with, F Company, 253rd Infantry Regiment,63rd Infantry Division, until March 14, 1944, when he was transferred to Cannon Company, 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division. He took part with the landing on Omaha Beach during the Normandy invasion. He was Killed in action a month latter on July 6, 1944. He was 22 years old at the time of his death, he was buried in Wheaton, Illinois in February 1948.
