PFC Vincenzo “Vince” Bari JR. 34133000 US Army. He was born on February 3, 1920, in Shaw, Mississippi, the son of Vincenzo Bari Sr. and Virginia Ciuccoli Bari. PFC Bari married Christine DuBois Before on March 9, 1943 in Nottoway Virginia. He had five children during his marriage.
He entered the US Army on September 10, 1941, at the age of 21. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 7 inches tall weighed 130 Pounds he had brown hair and Brown eyes. He served in Company C 179th Infantry, 45th Infantry Division
He was wounded in action on September 11, 1943 near Persano Italy. He returned back to Company C, 179th Infantry, 45th Infantry Division from the hospital in December 1943. In July 13, 1944 he transferred to the service company 179th Infantry, 45th Infantry Division. He was discharged on Aug. 11, 1945. He reenlisted in the US Army on June 22, 1958 and was discharged again on June 22 1961,
He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Purple Heart Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Bronze Star Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, The American Theater of operations, the European Theater of Operations Medal ETO, and the World War Two Victory Medal. He died on February 6, 2005, in Marion, Arkansas at the age of 85, and was buried there.
