2/Lt. Leon Vincent Flagler O1302799 KIA

Second Lieutenant, Leon Vincent Flagler O-1302799 United States Army KIA. He was born on April 10, 1918 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.  the son of Arthur Eisentrager Flagler and Florence Mabel Detweiler Flagler. By 1920 he was living in Perkasie Ward 1, Bucks county, Pennsylvania. He entered the US Army on Feb 17, 1941 at the age of 22. He was employed at US Gauge Co before the war. At the time of his enlistment he was 5 foot 8 inches tall weighed 170 pounds had brown hair and Blue eyes. Leon married Wanda D Osipowitz on January 7, 1942 and they had a son. He arrived overseas on June 16, 1944. He served in Combat with the 110th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action in Germany on November 12, 1944 at the age of 26. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, The American Theater of operations Medal, The European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations Medal, the World War Two Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Combat Infantry Badge.
