On August 1, 1944 he went overseas to the European Theatre, he fought in the engagements of Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe. He returned to United States on November 28, 1945, and was discharged on December 1, 1945 at Camp Grant, Illinois, after 4 years, 9 months of service. He was awarded the Jump wings, Purple Heart Medal with 1 oak leaf Cluster, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, The American Theater of operations, the European Theater of Operations Medal ETO with 3 battle star, the World War Two Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal.  As of 1947 his occupation was Plumber and Electrician.
