Captain BENJAMIN NEEDHAM WARD
Captain BENJAMIN NEEDHAM WARD, U. S. Navy. Brother of Colonel JOHN TAYLOR WARD KIA. Son of Grace Taylor Ward of, Baltimore, Maryland. He was born March 28, 1898, and attended Marion Military Institute and United States Naval Academy. He entered the service June 6, 1916, and during World War Two he served as Naval Industrial Manager, Baltimore, Maryland, in charge of Navy repairs, conversions, and construction of vessels in the Baltimore district. Captain Ward has the American Theater of Operations Ribbon, the Atlantic Fleet Clasp, and the Victory Medal. He is now retired from active duty due to physical disability incurred in line of duty. He is the husband of Kathleen Hall Ward, and the father of Benjamin Needham, Jr.
