GEORGE MILTON TUCKER
GEORGE MILTON TUCKER United States Navy. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Adair Tucker, of Alexandria. He was born July 3, 1926, and attended Central Grammar School, Bolton High School and Abbeville High School. He entered the U. S. Naval Reserve on January 18, 1944, at the age of 17. He went through three phases of boot training, Decatur, Farragut and Paul Jones. He embarked for Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii (PTO), on March 16, 1944, and served there in the US Naval Shipfitter Shop for one year. He served aboard the USS Griffin on voyages to Australia and the Philippines, then to Hawaii and Midway. He was continuing to serve with the United States Navy following the cessation of hostilities and the capitulation of the enemy. He is also the brother of Lieutenant CLYDE ADAIR TUCKER.
