T/Sergeant Ralph J. Chase 35329256, US Army KIA. He was born April 29, 1913 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. L. Chase, of Rt. 5, Findlay Ohio. He graduate of Liberty Twp. High. He entered the US Army, on June 19, 1942, at the age of 29. He trained in Virginia, Florida, Arizona, and Kansas. He served in Europe with Company C, 314th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division. He was wounded in France, in 1944. Killed in action in the Hagenau Forest, France, December 3, 1944, at the age of 31. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Purple Heart Medal, the American Theater of Operations Medal, The European African Middle Eastern Theater of operations, The World War Two Victory Medal.
