The 9th Infantry Division served for 264 days in Combat in the European African Middle Eastern Theater; during this time they served in the campaigns of ALGERIA-FRENCH MOROCCO, TUNISIA, SICILY, ANZIO, NORMANDY, NORTHERN FRANCE, RHINELAND, ARDENNES-ALSACE, and CENTRAL EUROPE.
