97th Infantry Division – “The Trident division”

The 97th Infantry Division served for 41 days in Combat in the European African Middle Eastern Theater; during this time they served in the CENTRAL EUROPE campaigns. On August 28, 1945 the Division was sent to The Asiatic Pacific Theater of operations; the Division did not see any combat in the (PTO).
