Pfc. Fred G. Wallace, Jr.

 

Pfc. Fred G. Wallace, Jr., US Army. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wallace, and brother of S/ Sgt. W. H. Wallace, T/ Sgt. John H. Wallace. Fred attended Hobart schools and entered the Army in Nov., 1940. He trained at Ft. Sill, Okla. and San Francisco,  Cal.; He served  in Australia and New Guinea where he was wounded in 1944 and the Philippines where he was wounded in Nov.,  1944;  was honorably discharged  in  Dec.,  1945.  Awarded  the  Purple Heart Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Asiatic Pacific Ribbon.
