Pvt. Climie Smith US Army. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bertha Vann, of Gilmer, Texas. He attended Bruce High School. He entered the Army, in 1943, and trained in Alabama and N. Carolina. He served in Pacific. He was awarded 2 Battle Stars on the PTO Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He was discharged in 1946.
