Private First Class Sandy Shamlin, 38137615 US Army. He was born in 1910, the son of Taylor Samlin, of Canton Texas. He attended Wynne School, Canton. Entered Army, on April 23, 1942, around the age of 31. He trained at Camp Wolters, Camp Wallace, Fort Dix, NEW JERSEY. Served in Africa, Egypt, and Sicily ETO. Awarded one Bronze Star, the ETO Campaign Medal. He was discharged, 1945.
