Radarman, Third Class Victor F. Schneider
Radarman, Third Class Victor F. Schneider US Navy. He was born 22 December 1918 in Denver. Attended Denver schools and University of Alabama, and was a manufacturing firm foreman prior to entering service on 20 June 1944, at the age of 25. Trained at camps and schools in Virginia, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Hawaii, and served aboard the USS ANTIETAM (CV-36) in support of China (CBI) and Japan Occupations (PTO). Honorably discharged on 26 January 1946, he was also a navy enlisted war correspondent and editor of his. ship’s daily and monthly publications. He is the son of Mrs. Fanny Schneider, and husband of Anne Harris Schneider, Jackson, Tennessee.
